Dry Eye Quiz

The SPEED™ (Standard Patient Evaluation of Eye Dryness) questionnaire is designed to help our team at Dr.'s Eyecare Center assess the frequency and severity of your dry eye symptoms. Your answers help us determine the best course of action for your long-term comfort and visual health.

Have you experienced any of the following symptoms?

Sensitivity to light
Gritty or scratchy sensation
Burning or stinging
Blurred or unclear vision
Tearing or watering
Pain/burning during the night or upon awakening

Dry Eye Assessment Factors

When assessing your eye health, we also consider how your lifestyle and daily activities impact your comfort. Consider the following:

  • Do any of these symptoms get worse after using a computer or cell phone?
  • Do your eye symptoms get in the way of your work or daily activities?
  • Is the statement “Contact lenses are uncomfortable for me” accurate for you?
  • How often are you using eye drops and other means for short-term relief?

If you answered "Most of the time" or "All of the time" to any of these questions, you may be suffering from Dry Eye Syndrome.
